Why the Via Regia?
The Via Regia, or ‘Royal Road’, was an important route travelling East-West through Central Europe. This was an important route for trade from the medieval period onward, and inevitably was also an important route for war. Many famous battles were fought along it, with one being the battle of Lützen in 1632, part of the Thirty Years War.We hope you will join us on our virtual journey, along the Via Regia, to Lützen!
We will be sharing regular updates on the progress of our preparations. We would love to hear your thoughts and suggestions so please feel free to add a comment below.
Splendid! I look forward to following your progress.
ReplyDeleteThanks Codsticker :-)
DeleteWill follow with interest. Can I ask you what Order of Battle you are following, as i am intending to do this and other TYW battles in 10mm. Thanks

All seem to broadly agree but add some differing details. We’ll post the OOB we use for the game at some point. We’re having to cut down the units on both sides to fit it on the table ;-)
Did you ever post the Order of Battle? I watched your game at Salute and it was quite the spectacle. I am just startign on my TYW german P&S units and was debtating unit sizes.
DeleteHi Jim, see the post Order, Order here: https://theviaregia.blogspot.com/2019/04/order-order.html?m=1
